Proxy information: When you make a reservation for someone else through this website, we will request Personally Identifiable Information and self storage unit rental preferences about that individual. You should obtain the consent of other individuals prior to providing us with their Personally Identifiable Information and rental preferences, as any access to view or change their information will be available only through your account.
Information from other sources: We also may periodically obtain both information about you from affiliated entities, business partners and other independent third-party sources and add it to our account information. Examples of information we may receive include: updated delivery and address information, purchase history, and demographic information.
Automatic information: We automatically collect some information about your computer when you visit this website. For example, we will collect your IP address, web browser software (such as Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer), and referring website. We also may collect information about your online activity, such as units viewed and buttons clicked. Social media companies: We may receive Personally Identifiable Information from Meta (e.g. Facebook and Instagram) and other social media companies when you interact with that social media company on or in connection with our services.
Data we create or infer: We, certain partners, social media companies, and third parties operating on our behalf, create and infer Personally Identifiable Information such as Preference Data or Aggregate Data based on our observations or analysis of other Personally Identifiable Information processed under this Policy, and we may correlate this data with other data we process about you.
Call recording: We have established proper procedures to protect the privacy of all callers and call recipients in connection with call recording services, and otherwise fully comply with all applicable laws, regulations and governmental or self-regulatory guidelines. We create a digital audio recording of incoming telephone calls which may then be played, replayed, transcribed, monitored, analyzed and archived by employees, contractors, officers, agents, authorized representatives or other trusted third parties of Five Star Storage. Content may include, without limitation, personal and non-personal data related to such calls.
Biometric Data: We may operate video surveillance systems throughout the Facility that may include facial recognition or other biometric identification technologies which analyze images captured by the video surveillance system to identify individuals present at the facility.
HOW INFORMATION MAY BE USED
Any collected Personally Identifiable Information will only be used in direct conjunction with your account and website needs. We will not sell or intentionally distribute Personally Identifiable Information to any sources outside Five Star Storage.

- Occupant acknowledges that biometric data may be generated through automated analysis of video images and that such information may be associated with video recordings and other security data. Owner will use reasonable measures to protect biometric data from unauthorized access and will not sell, lease, trade, or otherwise commercially profit from biometric identifiers or biometric information. Biometric identifiers and biometric information will be retained only for so long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described above, or as otherwise required for security investigations, legal proceedings, or compliance with applicable law, after which such data will be permanently destroyed or anonymized within a commercially reasonable time. Owner may disclose video recordings or biometric information to law enforcement agencies, to courts or governmental authorities, to Owner’s security or technology service providers who assist with operation of the surveillance system, or as otherwise required by law. By entering into this Agreement and accessing the Facility, Occupant knowingly and voluntarily consents to the collection, capture, storage, and use of biometric identifiers or biometric information derived from video surveillance for the purposes described in this provision.
